Our History
Farmers Chicago was founded in 2004 by a Chicago born & raised farmer who wanted to provide sustainable and organic products for his local Chicago household. Since then, we have grown to serve as a resource to farmers and gardeners all over the city. We are proud of our roots and remain committed to providing high-quality products and services to our customers.
Our Philosophy
At Farmers Chicago, we believe that the health of the soil, the health of the plants, and the health of the people are all interconnected. That's why we are committed to using only natural and organic methods to grow our produce, and to promoting healthy eating and living habits to our customers.
History
Believe it or not, Chicago has a rich farming history dating back almost 200 years! Both early settlers & natives farmed the land along Lake Michigan. Chicago farms vary greatly in size, shape, and location. The majority of farming is done the old fashioned way... by hand.
